Ethics and education as a basis for the formation of the new cultural ethos

Abstract

The vital relationship between ethics and education with a direct exit towards the formation of a new cultural and social ethos, where the formation of the subject as a citizen is the objective of his philosophical and pedagogical work. The purpose of his thought is concrete: the need for a democratic society where communication and participation are the concrete means of this new ethos. Hoyos advocates an education that deals with that only technological training and away from social principles, where it is only important to train the individual to be useful in the market. A competent subject in the economy is needed, but socially the same, so that the essence of social formation is not lost and that globalization becomes a true social process.
