About the Journal
Dialektika: Journal of Philosophical Research and Social Theory (ISSN: 2707-3386) serves as a dynamic platform for borderless philosophical inquiry, dedicated to exploring the evolving boundaries of thought in an increasingly interconnected and complex global landscape. Founded in Havana, Cuba, with a local focus, the journal has transformed into a global initiative, embodying the essence of philosophy as a continuous journey of discovery, questioning, and intellectual transformation.
The journal’s relocation to Belgrade, Serbia, prompted by political and economic realities, underscores its resilient and transnational character. Dialektika is more than a publication; it is a conduit for ideas, connecting scholars, perspectives, and contexts across geographical, cultural, and ideological boundaries. By fostering open and critical dialogue, the journal addresses the most pressing philosophical and social questions of our time, inviting readers to reimagine the role of thought in a rapidly changing world.
Published by Dialektika: Global Forum for Critical Thinking, Humanities, and Social Sciences, a nonprofit organization, the journal reflects a commitment to advancing critical thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration on a global scale. Through its work, Dialektika seeks to inspire meaningful conversations that transcend borders and spark innovative approaches to understanding the human condition.

It is aimed at researchers, professors, students, and anyone interested in understanding and engaging with the philosophical phenomenon from a critical and transformative perspective.
Note on Costs:
Dialektika does not charge authors for the evaluation process or the editorial preparation of manuscripts. Authors retain copyright over their work and are free to reproduce and share their documents, provided proper credit is given to the journal.
Publication Frequency
Starting in 2025, Dialektika will adopt a continuous publication model, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and the immediate dissemination of knowledge. This model fosters an ongoing, up-to-date philosophical dialogue aligned with contemporary intellectual challenges and the dynamics of a global academic community.
Despite its continuous publication model, Dialektika will retain the option to organize Special Issues and Thematic Volumes that group articles under the journal's established sections. These editions aim to highlight specific topics and encourage focused, interdisciplinary dialogue.
The journal welcomes submissions year-round, providing a flexible space for the contribution of relevant academic work.
Open Access Policy
The journal provides open access to all its content, promoting the global exchange of knowledge.

Ethical Statement
Introduction
We make public our adherence to the standards and codes of ethics established by the Committee on Publication Ethics.
The journal is committed to scientific seriousness to collaborate in eliminating bad practices in the research and publication of academic articles.
In this sense, the authors must ensure that the results declared in the text are entirely original. Plagiarism constitutes a severe ethical fault that will not be allowed. The Editorial Board must act if they suspect that there has been some misconduct or if they receive a report of misconduct. This obligation extends to both published and unpublished documents.
The Editorial Board will not be limited to rejecting documents that raise doubts about possible misconduct. It will do everything possible to try to obtain a response from the suspects of wrongdoing and then clarify the situation with the parties involved or the institution they belong to start a more exhaustive investigation until a solution to the problem is found.
The Editor will be attentive to intellectual property problems and will work with the Editorial Board to resolve possible infringements of laws and conventions on intellectual property.
The Editor may withdraw papers that have problems of scientific misconduct, such as manipulation of primary or secondary sources, plagiarism, use of sources without due consent, or any other issue that may harm the journal's ethical standards.
Procedure to sanction bad practices
Definition of Common Malpractices (Vázquez Moctezuma, 2016):
- Citing without consulting sources: Referring to sources not actually consulted and omitting references that contradict the research.
- Plagiarism: Intentionally copying the ideas, words, or designs of others and presenting them as one’s own. This includes self-plagiarism, where the author reuses parts of their previously published work without proper citation.
- Salami science: Fragmenting research by reusing sections of previous investigations without explicitly referencing the original publication.
- Duplicate publication: Reusing full or partial results of prior research while altering titles, abstracts, languages, or adding co-authors to make it appear as a new submission.
- Data fabrication or manipulation: Creating or altering data to misrepresent findings.
- Undeserved authorship: Crediting individuals as authors who have not made substantial contributions to the research.
- Conflicts of interest: Instances where financial or other affiliations influence the research’s direction or conclusions, often involving funding entities.
Reporting and Handling Malpractices
If anyone suspects misconduct in the journal, they should contact the Editor-in-Chief. Upon receiving information or discovering potential malpractice, the Editor will initiate a thorough review, which may involve the following steps:
- A commission may be formed to investigate and resolve the issue.
- Articles under suspicion may be temporarily withdrawn to avoid third-party impact during the investigation.
- The Editor will discreetly collect information before notifying the individuals involved.
- The journal ensures protection for whistleblowers reporting the malpractice.
- The accused will be protected until conclusive evidence of their involvement is presented. False or anonymous accusations will only be considered if sufficient evidence warrants an investigation.
If misconduct is confirmed, the implicated article will be permanently removed. The editorial committee will issue a formal letter explaining the decision and the reasons for the article's retraction from Dialektika.
Role and Scope of Authors, Editors and Reviewers
-
Ethical Commitment: Authors must ensure their work is original, free from plagiarism or data manipulation, and not submitted to multiple journals simultaneously. The Editorial Board will investigate any suspicion of malpractice and take appropriate actions, including article retraction if necessary.
-
Reviewers: Reviewers are expected to conduct objective, confidential, and constructive evaluations, identifying potential overlaps or omitted references.
-
Editors: Editors make decisions based on scientific merit, uphold confidentiality, and avoid conflicts of interest. They ensure adherence to review and publication timelines.
